Have you been injured?

Personal Injury Chiropractic Care in Columbia, MO

Restoration Chiropractic gladly accepts auto accident cases. We are ready to get you feeling and functioning better after this unfortunate event. Our insurance specialist has years of experience with auto insurance companies and attorneys.

Before your appointment, you will need:

  • Your claim number

  • Your adjuster's name, phone number, and email

  • Third party's (at-fault driver) car insurance information

  • Third party's adjuster's name, phone number, and email

  • Your attorney's name, phone number, and email

A few things to know before your appointment:

Many auto accident injuries can go undiagnosed. Assuming that you are fine because you don't feel hurt following an accident can be a serious error. Shock and adrenalin can mute or delay the onset of symptoms, allowing an auto accident injury to go undiagnosed. Minor injuries can lead to long term instability and degeneration.

2

You may seek medical treatment immediately following an accident with a local hospital or your primary care physician. However, seeing a chiropractor can be pivotal to your overall healing, pain relief, and future quality of life! The symptoms of deeper musculoskeletal injuries to your spine can take weeks or even months to manifest. Therefore, it's important to schedule your assessment as soon as possible.

3

When pursuing a personal injury case through your auto insurance, the at-fault party's auto insurance, and/or an attorney, it is very important to get assessed prior to settling your case. Seeking treatment after settling your personal injury case will result in out-of-pocket costs to you. In most cases, the third-party (at-fault) insurance will have Med Pay, which allows medical facilities, like Restoration Chiropractic, to bill a certain amount for services and treatment in our office.

4

Dealing with insurance companies can be difficult, especially after an auto accident. Our insurance specialist will communicate directly with your attorney or the liable insurance company so you are able to focus on your health and healing. We also have a reputable, local attorney we refer to for cases that may not be as open and shut.

At your first appointment, you should expect a thorough comprehensive neurological and muscular exam to assess the injuries sustained by the auto accident, along with chiropractic postural x-rays to assess any structural injuries or abnormalities.

Please take time to fully complete the paperwork prior to your appointment to ensure our team has an accurate depiction of your aches and pains so our doctors can put together recommendations to begin your healing process. For insurance purposes, all auto accident claim information must be present for our assessment and exam to take place.

First Time FAQs

  • How long will my first appointment be?
Your first visit will last about 60 minutes.
  • What is included in my first visit?
The first visit will give us an opportunity to connect with you, listen to your concerns, and discuss goals for your health. We will conduct a one-on-one consultation to explore the past and current experiences that have contributed to where you are now. You will also receive a full neurological evaluation to help us assess how your spine and nervous system are functioning. If recommended by the doctors, chiropractic postural x-rays will be taken as well.
  • Insurance or No Insurance?
We are in-network with most major insurance companies. Not sure if chiropractic care is covered by your insurance? We will do a complimentary benefits check for you! No insurance? No problem! We are part of a federal discount program that allows us to legally discount care to help make our services more affordable! No matter what, you will always be informed of any cost prior to receiving a service.
  • What happens next?
Scheduling the appointment is the first step towards your road to healing. After you submit your appointment request, you will receive a call from our team within 24 hours on business days. Once your appointment date and time are confirmed with a call from our team, you will be instructed how to complete new patient forms prior to your visit. Those forms take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete and can be found here. If at any time you have a schedule conflict, please give us a call so we can make accommodations or reschedule your visit.
